Four certification tracks

  • Web development: build and ship a working site.
  • Internet of Things: microcontrollers, sensors and circuits.
  • 3D rapid prototyping: CAD to printed part.
  • Vector design: laser and vinyl cutting, from file to finished piece.

What’s in the makerspace

3D printers, a laser cutter, vinyl cutters, textile and apparel equipment, electronics and soldering, and plenty of low-fidelity prototyping supplies. The Center also works with the IQ Center as part of W&L’s broader making and fabrication network.

Before you use any machine, you’ll complete the waiver and access agreement and get trained by Connolly Center staff.

How to get started

  1. Create an account in the Maker portal.
  2. Sign up for a workshop.
  3. Earn your first certification, then keep building.

No experience needed. The program is open to every major and skill level.
